Increasingly Political
In a similar vein to Wellington Grey's plea in the last post for the safe return of his subject, here is a report which makes a good case for their claim that the curriculum is becoming increasingly political.
i was educated in a comprehensive like this, not a long time ago, and it's true - Physics is about global warming, Biology is about animal rights. as for Literature, the authora of the report are pretty pissed that nobody knows who Pope was - well, if it makes you feel better, i do, and he said this:
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown; Thus unlamented let me die; Steal from the world, and not a stone Tell where I lie.
it does make me wonder if he meant it. it's come true, that's for damn sure.
