NASUWT Support

Get your teeth into this article...

A Teacher writing a book? It's outrageous.

Good to see the NASUWT standing up for her with a message of support. I'm sure if she had simply been a completely useless teacher, or one who is never in; they would be up in arms.

I can't help but wonder why the Head has nothing better to do with his time. Mind you, if I were him, I'd be unable to resist saying: "We were going to investigate this but there's too much at stake..."

(Which may well explain why I was never promoted.)

If my English teacher had looked like that I'd have never missed a lesson, in fact I'd have taken up Drama as well!!!!

They have a published author working for their English and Drama department. Surely they should be marketing this as a strength, not scurrying around defensively?

No such thing as bad publicity!

She must be rubbing her hands with glee.

Not only will the school be shown in a bad light, her sales will multiply.

A teacher writing a controversial book...

Does that ring any bells, Mr. C?

Leve her alone! She was doing it under a pen name, and as a previous poster said, an english teacher who is a published author is surely an asset. Shocking that a teacher should have ambition or need to supplement poor pay with an additional source of income ;-)

The site reads: "Like all good author's she drew on her own knowledge and passions to write it."

Let's all hope that she didn't write her own website.
