Blair and Johnson

We've now sold around 2000 copies of It's Your Time You're Wasting, so I'd like to say thanks to all those of you who've bought one.

For those of you who haven't, I should add that none of the material from this blog was used in the book. It's all new stuff so click on the link and buy a copy now!

Copies were sent to both Tony Blair and the Minister for Education, Alan Johnson for their comments, but they never replied. I can't think why we imagined they would; after all it's only about 'education, education, education' so why would they be interested in that?

i'm one of the 2,000 frank, and a great read it is too. well done!
i read it described somewhere as a great book to read on the loo because you're alternately p***ing yourself at the jokes and sh***ing yourself at the state of modern british education. i think that's a fair description!

ps i don't think you'll get much mileage out of blair and johnson, somehow. they're all much more interested in important stuff like who gets what job than to bother themselves with schools...

i've got my copy too frank and have been telling all my friends to buy it. i'm a supply teacher and have not had a call today so may well finish reading it now. I'm really enjoying it.

Not surprised you've had no response from Blair. The sooner he goes the better. He's ruining this country.

They never replied because neither can read or write - maybe they went to your school Frank :-).

This government has succeeded in it's alternative manifesto though, i.e. destroying the capability of the NHS, Education and Police Service in actually achieving their core tasks whilst not even knowing anything about each organisation. Give them some credit ;-)

At the same time they have managed to increase their salary and expenses packages handsomely and employed thousands of 'middle managing bean counters' in all these organisations. In addition the the great British public actually think they have acheived something whilst in power - genius. The sooner they go the better.

Bad news about Blair and Johnson not replying.

But I notice that they were perfectly happy to talk on camera to Jamie Oliver on telly last night. Mind you, that was only about school meals. Your book is about the whole education system.

What can we deduce from this, I wonder? I'm sure they weren't just appearing as a PR stunt, were they?

Were they?
