The DVLA

If you should ever find yourself completely at peace with the World- calm, happy and relaxed; then just phone up the DVLA and I guarantee that in no time at all, you will be reduced to incoherent rage, incandescent fury or uncontrollable sobbing. Maybe even all three...

That is true of many banks, most postal/transport services and any government department on any given day (whether local or national!)

I'm glad to see that they have learned from the masters - we in the police! Try to ring your local police and meet real frustration and anger, and that's just when I'm doing it and I work there!

I've always found the Inland Revenue very helpful. Perhaps that's because I owe them money.

For American readers, the DVLA is the British version of the DMV. Apparently no better than the Illinois version.
