Teacher Of The Year

Well done to Susan Green who is the best teacher in Britain. The rest of you really should pull your socks up- she's only been teaching a year and uses puppets.

According to the article she was presented with a gold Plato. This is either a priceless statue of the famous Greek philosopher or evidence that the reporter could do with some spelling lessons from Ms Green.

Is there really a Minister called Peter Peacock?

Once upon a time, about a year ago (when the article you so sharply picked up on was published) in a land far, far away that none of you London-centric xenophobes seem to have ever heard of* there was a Minister called Peter Peacock.

Losing your fine attention to detail, "Frank"?

* Scotland

Wasn't there a Captain Peacock on a tv series once?

There was a Minister called Peter Peacock but when Labour was defeated in the Scottish Parliament Elections in May this year,he lost his job anjd it is now an SNP Government- not - no doubt with some ministers having somewhat unusual names

How can anyone be the best teacher in Britain after a year?

Just the same way someone can be the best PM of Britain after a yer.

It's amazing - I was under the impression that Punch and Judy Shows were no longer acceptable because of theri non-PC Mr Punch battering his wife and the poor croc.

They can't. She isn't. If you read the article rather than just the headline, in particular:
"An Edinburgh woman has won the title of outstanding new teacher in Britain."

Captain Peacock was on 'Are You Being Served?'

What did she have served on a gold plato?

Did he get arrested?

Well done to her. She has shown that attractive classroom methods are the way to get kids to learn - and that there is no need for paperwork, meeting targets, ticking boxes, and all the other crap that Ts are expected to do these days.

Will anybody sit up and take note, though?!
