I can confirm that This man has been offered a job doing the new teacher recruitment adverts. (Rather than the Government's new road safety campaign)
Actually he nearly blew the interview at the last minute, due to a misunderstanding when the secretary said "We're prepared to give you the job..."

So that's what goes on during the educational field trips. No surprise the trips are so expensice...cocke doesn't come cheap!
It doesn't really surprise me much - except the teacher's ability to multi-task, of course. When I was a kid, it was common knowledge that certain 6th form students and their teachers had 'a thing going on'- and that was back in the 1970s.
I don't hink it involved blow jobs and coke on school trips, though!
she was 18 was she not?
how exactly is what he did illegal with regards to sex with a minor? (immoral yes, illegal no)
"16
Abuse of position of trust: sexual activity with a child
(1)A person aged 18 or over (A) commits an offence if—
(a)he intentionally touches another person (B),
(b)the touching is sexual,
(c)A is in a position of trust in relation to B,
(d)where subsection (2) applies, A knows or could reasonably be expected to know of the circumstances by virtue of which he is in a position of trust in relation to B, and
(e)either—
(i)B is under 18 and A does not reasonably believe that B is 18 or over, or
(ii)B is under 13."
Look, we are viewing this from modern, politically correct eyes. In the 60's and 70's a number of teachers' actually ended up marrying their sixthform students.
A good friend of mine is a case in point, he married a student of his, and it was common knowledge around the school (both students and staff) that the two were "involved." Did anyone report him to the authorities? No they did not. Furthermore, the kindly old headmaster upon hearing the news that they were to marry, invited my teacher friend into his office and gave him advice on getting a mortgage and setting up savings. I think this was the right attitude to have. As long as both parties are over 18 and both give consent to the relationship, the rest of society should keep their nose out.
These days we dare not take a piss without the EU or high court telling us how to do it. Bring back the old days were common sense and discretion were used instead of sticking to mountains of stupid laws and red tape. As I've said as long as both are over 18 and consenting the rest of us should merely wish them well.
That's the great thing about being a waiter, you are sort of allowed to touch the punters and have them touch you back, sort of.......
this is the part of the article I am refering to
"He denies two charges of an abuse of trust and sexual activity with a child and a single charge of offering to supply cocaine between May and July 2005."
If she was 18 then the first 2 charges should be thrown out of the window. The only offence he could be found guilty of is the drugs one.
I also HATE the way his name is plastered all over the article when he's yet to be found guilty of anything, especially since the wording ("schoolgirl") suggests there's the chance he's a paedophile, possibly putting him at danger, yet her name is not printed due to 'victim protection'?
I had a relationship with my PE teacher when I was in upper 6th form in 1980. I pursued him ruthlessly (to go out with him, I mean), I also didn't tell a soul. Ok so nothing took place in a minibus or hotel, it was probably quite boring by comparison! The relationship also petered out when I went to university but I wouldn't have dreamt of 'dobbing' him to the authorities or anyone else. Perhaps I was more mature, I knew we probably shouldn't be, but it was no big deal to me.
I think she's blown his chances of promotion
There were a number of very attractive sixth form girls at my college, but they were terribly naiive. In fact, they would swallow anything.
Abuse of trust, without a shadow of a doubt!!
I'm not so sure that his promotion chances have been ruined...
After all he is clearly the head master
Personally, if the girl was 18 and it was consensual, I don't think it is an abuse of trust. At 18 she is an adult and therefore the two of them should be viewed as being equal, whether he was her teacher or not. The only time I would object to such a relationship was if he forced the girl to sleep with him in order to improve her grades. Now that would be very, very wrong.
However, this seems to have been a joint, consensual relationship, so I agree with a previous poster, because they are both over 18, we should simply wish them well.
I too have a teacher friend who ended up marrying one of his sixthform students and this sort of thing was not frowned upon back then because both parties were adults and viewed as being equal.
Stop all this Nanny state rubbish and let adults run their own lives. Admittedly the drugs thing is wrong but that is the only bad thing in this whole tale.
He must be the only teacher who doesn't complain about his job
I am definitely applying for a PGCE now!
Using a phone whilst driving is a crime
Well if that's not against the law then this Must be..
