Shocking Behaviour
Tell your pupils not to do this especially if they live in the US where the Police don't muck about.
Interesting story and quite amusing. One can't help thinking though that perhaps it might have been more effective if the police had shocked him right on the tip of his "private" area. I think he would have gone down like a sack of spuds then, ha ha ha ha. Maybe this is the result of making kids do homework from an early age, which I think is a horrible idea, let children have their childhoods without stress and pressure.
It was a stupid immature prank and I've little sympathy for the student involved, but that is a totally disproportionate use of force. The taser is a less-lethal weapon, not a non-lethal one, with as much potential to cause lasting damage as a baton round. Killian did not have a weapon and had not offered violence, and I hope the officer in question gets a reprimand.
Disproportionate use of force? God some of you people are wet! How did the cop know he wasn't a crazed serial killer trying to do a number on the kids who were shaking in the corner? The silly bugger was lucky he didn't get a doss of lead poisoning.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away things were right and all was well with the world.

Ah, he is a Geek.
"Officer Doug Staysniak, who subdued the student, was monitoring the lunch period ..."
Interesting to note that it seems to normal practice having a police presence in school.

I can't help but wonder if, when a naked, greased person is zapped, is there a sizzle?

Would love to have seen him get zapped though!
Cops 1 - Naked nutter nil.
