It's not Big and It's Certainly not Clever...

Education Minister Alan Johnson announced today that schools need to do more to tackle the sort of behaviour shown on the 'Big Brother' Show.

Author and General Troublemaker, Frank Chalk announced today that schools need to do more to encourage children to develop hobbies and interests rather than sit mindlessly gawping at a bunch of 'Halfwits in a House'.

Perhaps the recent attack on 15 year-old white schoolboy Henry Webster by a gang of Asian teenagers, one of whom broke Henry's skull with a hammer, should receive at least as much high profile news media attention as BB?

Never mind the children! Half the morons in our staffroom can talk of nothing else

It's the lowest common denominator in every way. I cringe with embarrassment at this country's insatiable need to present its worst face to the rest of the world.

How about it being up to parents to tackle to sort of behaviour shown on BB with THEIR offspring? Why oh why are all the ills of society presented to schools to address?

I look forward to any pronouncement by Alan Johnson;it's guaranteed to be a crushingly dull, inappropriate platitude, and thus very entertaining.

Must be a secondary school then. In our primary school every one from head to teaching assistant is talking about it. Mind you, it only needs three poor A levels to be a BEd so what can you expect.
