Andrew Marr

Andrew Marr described Bloggers at the Cheltenham Literary Festival:

"A lot of bloggers seem to be socially inadequate, pimpled, single, slightly seedy, bald, cauliflower-nosed young men sitting in their mother's basements and ranting. They are very angry people,"

He may well be right, but it's equally true to say that a lot of television is only suitable for the hard-of-thinking and much of what is printed in newspapers is either factually incorrect or biased politically.
My invitation to speak at the festival got lost in the post, apparently.

Like so many MSM journalists, Andrew Marr didn't share his data or reveal his methods. He must have been speaking to an audience with no experience of the blogosphere, otherwise Mr Marr's talk would have been drowned out with laughter.

I do wonder whether the BBC should be paying somebody so like him so much money from our licence fees, when he is so clearly out of touch with the real world. He needn't worry - I'm sure he knows somebody at the Guardian who would give him a job.

Ray.

On TV Andrew Marr does not display the forensic interviewing skills of say Jeremy Paxman or Andrew Neil. Indeed, when confronted by a Labour politician Andrew Marr assumes the role of an audience.

A lot of Andrew Marrs seem to be socially inadequate, pimpled, slightly seedy, bald, jug-eared old men sitting in their mother's basements and ranting. They are very irritating people.

He must have come up with a fair chunk of that description when looking in the mirror (and being kind).

Mr Marr needs to access a few quality blogs... perhaps it is too difficult for him?
Try Bringing up Charlie
or Tales out of school...
