Andy Drzewiecki

If Andy Drzewiecki (who represented us at the Moscow Olympics in 1980 as a weightlifter in the over 105 Kg category) told me to go to the Heads office; you can rest assured that I would be out of the room faster than a falling barbell, without even a parting shout of "You never won a medal!"

Unfortunately the pupil that he did send to the Head decided to put in a complaint against him.

Now ask me, did Mr D receive the support of the Head and the Local Education Authority? No, don't be silly. He was hung out to dry.

It's time kids had to prove that they are telling the truth, not teachers having to prove that they didn't do it. Either that or video cameras in classrooms; sorry but at least that would, in most cases, prove straight away who was telling the truth. It might also be effective in pulling the wool from certain parents eyes that their little darling is not capable of doing such awful things.

I wonder what has happened to the little darling child concerned. Has he gone on to have an unblemished record in his secondary school? Will there be any consequences for his actions?

You teachers might like to read this blog, although it's more like a serialised novel. It's very dark and very very black humoured. However, I'll bet there will be some of you who would agree with the Headteacher's methods, lol. I know I did. I couldn't stop laughing. I just hope this guy keeps it up, he's obviously got something to say and he writes very well.

heard most of the Fileonfour prog. The dog that didn't bark is the unions. Why aren't they all over cases like this?

It shows how bad the situation is in schools when I can hardly muster the will to condemn this kind of thing. It is so commonplace as to be custom and practice now. Might as well put us all on temporary contracts and avoid the cost of the tribunal.

This is exactly the sort of trumped up nonsense that forced one of my chums, a male primary teacher out.

He led a violent pupil out of a classroom by the elbow, she claimed he had kicked her. Cue suspension and a disciplinary trail - all the way to an LEA hearing, who dismissed the whole thing out of hand. Mainly due to about 30 odd witnesses saying he had done no such thing.

Little Miss Can't be Wrong got moved to another Primary, whereupon she accused another male teacher of assault within 2 days of being there.

My mate quit teaching.

Tsk! Really really sad... how else would they learn if they keep on taking out the teachers one by one...
