Philip Lawrence's Murderer
I don't want to send Learco Chindamo (who stabbed and killed Headmaster, Philip Lawrence) back to Italy next year when he is released. I want to keep him in jail where he belongs.

Good point but why keep him and other lifers in expensive UK prisons ? When we could lock them up abroad much cheaper ?
Keeping a lifer in prison: £1 million throughout his lifetime.
Length of rope from B&Q: £5.
Stark reduction in murders or vicious assaults on people when the death penalty is re-introduced: priceless.
I hate the concept of the death penalty as much as any right-minded person; we can no more restore the dead to life so it is fool-hardy to hope for the reverse.
However, when you look at the deterence rates in countries that impose the death penalty they do suggest it has a huge impact across the violent crime board.
Bring back the rule that regicide and murder of a police officer still carry the death penalty and make it cover any front line public servant; teachers, doctors etc...
If he is coming out in a year then some people may advocate a lynching party for the jail gate. I'd prefer if he was terrorised into wanting to leave the country (and ideally the race) well before he steps outside. As a child I always found the threat of a beating from my father, or the big boys in the street, far worse than the results of one! For information it appears as though Mr Chindamo may currently reside in HMP Greenock.
Tomrat247, I guess that explains why the murde rate in countries with the death penalty, like the USA, is so much lower than in countries without the death penalty, like Canada. Oh, wait...
Is there a petition online to send him home? Someone set one up please I would but don't know how. If not were have to wait for him at the prison gates.
